Desmoglein 2 (DSG2) Antibody (MA5-42851) in WB
Western blot analysis of Desmoglein 2 (DSG2) in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with Desmoglein 2 (DSG2) Monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-42851) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

Target Information
Desmosomes are cell-cell junctions between epithelial, myocardial, and certain other cell types. Currently, three desmoglein subfamily members have been identified and all are members of the cadherin cell adhesion molecule superfamily. These desmoglein gene family members are located in a cluster on chromosome 18. This protein has been identified as the autoantigen of the autoimmune skin blistering disease pemphigus vulgaris.
