SFTPA1 Antibody (MA5-43580) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) analysis of SFTPA1 in porcine lung tissue using SFTPA1 Monoclonal Antibody (C5) (Product # MA5-41664) (30 µg/mL) and using PBS intead of the primary antibody as a control. The sample was then stained with HRP-Goat anti-Mouse IgG polyclonal secondary antibody (2 µg/mL). DAB staining.

Surfactant protein A is an innate immune system collectin. The gene encoding SP-A map to mouse chromosome 14. Surfactant protein-A, which plays a role in innate host defense in the lung, is also expressed in the Eustachian tube. We report that the frequency of specific surfactant protein-A haplotypes and genotypes differs between children with recurrent otitis media compared with a control population.
