Pleiotrophin Antibody (MA5-57175) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemical staining of Pleiotrophin in C2C12 cells using Pleiotrophin Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-57175) at a 1:1,1000 dilution. Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; Pleiotrophin was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Low. Scale bar: 20 μm.

Pleiotrophin (PTN) is an 18 kDa secreted heparin and chondroitin-binding protein that is a regulatory cytokine critical to the early development of blood vessels and neurons. High PTN serum levels are associated with a variety of solid tumors. It was shown that patients with multiple myeloma (MM) also have elevated serum levels of this protein. The expression of this protein is very limited in normal adult tissues.
