NQO1 Antibody (MA5-57493) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemical staining of NQO1 in HT-1080 cells using NQO1 Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-57492) at a 1:1,1000 dilution. Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; NQO1 was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. Scale bar: 20 μm.

NQO1 is a member of the NAD(P)H dehydrogenase (quinone) family and a cytoplasmic 2-electron reductase. This FAD-binding protein forms homodimers and reduces quinones to hydroquinones. NQO1's enzymatic activity prevents the one electron reduction of quinones that results in the production of radical species. Altered expression of the protein has been seen in many tumors and is also associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD).
