Are the MicroAmp Optical 96-Well Reaction Plates and MicroAmp Optical 384 -Well Reaction Plates autoclavable?

Our microplates are certified to be DNA, RNase and PCR inhibitor free as long as they are kept in the original packaging bag. They are not meant to be autoclaved.

No. The plate does not fit and will result in the crushing of the wells and possible contamination of the block due to leaking of the well contents.

Is the 96 well plate in SequalPrep Normalization Plate Kit (Cat. No. A1051001) the same as the MicroAmp Optical 96-Well Reaction Plate (Cat. No. N8010560, 4316813)?

No, they are not the same. The MicroAmp Optical 96-Well Reaction Plate is an empty optical plate that is used for sample processing (i.e. amplification using the thermal cycler or sample loading onto a capillary instrument). The MicroAmp plate cannot be used for performing normalization as it is not coated using the ChargeSwitch technology.

What is the difference between the MicroAmp Optical Adhesive Covers and the MicroAmp Optical Caps? Can they be used interchangeably?

The MicroAmp Optical Adhesive Covers (P/N 4311971) have a higher optical efficiency than the MicroAmp Optical Caps, (8 caps/strip) (P/N 4323032). They can be used instead of the MicroAmp Optical Caps only when using the MicroAmp 96-Well Reaction Plate with Barcode (P/N 4306737, 4309849) or the MicroAmp Optical 96-Well Reaction Plate (P/N N801-0560). The Optical Adhesive Covers cannot be used with the MicroAmp Optical Tubes.
