PA1-26849 detects Streptavidin. PA1-26849 will not react with avidin.
PA1-26849 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin & frozen), ELISA, immunomicroscopy, dot blot, and Western blot procedures.
The PA1-26849 immunogen is streptavidin from Streptomyces avidinii.
Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein purified from Streptomyces avidinii that binds very tightly to the vitamin biotin with a Kd of ~ 10-14 mol/l. The high affinity recognition of biotin and biotinylated molecules has made streptavidin one of the most important components in diagnostics and laboratory kits.
