Phospho-EIF4G (Ser1108) Antibody (PA1-28419) in WB
Western blot detection of Phospho-EIF4G pSer1108 in extracts of HEK293 cells. Samples were resolved by SDS-PAGE on a 10% Tris-glycine gel and transferred to PVDF. The membrane was blocked with a 5% BSA-TBST buffer for one hour at room temperature, then incubated using a Phospho-EIF4G pSer1108 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-28419).

Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a component of the protein complex EIF4F, which is involved in the recognition of the mRNA cap, ATP-dependent unwinding of 5'-terminal secondary structure, and recruitment of mRNA to the ribosome. Alternative splicing results in five transcript variants encoding four distinct isoforms.
