SMAD6 Antibody (PA1-29829) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of SMAD6 in HepG2 cells. Cells were fixed with 10% formalin, permeabilized with 0.5% Triton-X100 and SMAD6 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA1-29829) (Green) at a dilution of 1:100 was used as a primary antibody. Red : Tubulin. Blue: DAPI.

SMAD6 (mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 6) is an antagonist of signaling by TGF-beta (transforming growth factor) type 1 receptor superfamily members; has been shown to inhibit selectively BMP (bone morphogenetic proteins) signaling by competing with the co-SMAD SMAD4 for receptor-activated SMAD1. SMAD6 is an inhibitory SMAD (I-SMAD) or antagonistic SMAD.
