Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human HepG2 whole cell, rat testis tissue, mouse testis tissue. Flow: A431 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
It has been hypothesizes that the BAG-5 protein will induce the death of nigral neurons through its predicted interaction with hsp70, which will cause increased protein aggregation and cell death by disinhibition of hsp70's anti-apoptotic function. It is believed that BAG-5 will play an important role in the mechanisms of neuronal death. BAG-5 may also be of interest due to its possible role as a modulator of the hsp70/hsp40 chaperone axis or its possible interaction and coordination of localization/ modulation of other BAG containing proteins via BAG-BAG heterodimerization.
