Phospho-EIF4B (Thr420) Antibody (PA5-105536) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded Phospho-EIF4B (Thr420) in human gastric cancer tissue sections. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer. Samples were blocked with blocking buffer (1.5 hr, 22°C), incubated with Phospho-EIF4B (Thr420) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-105536) using a dilution of 1:100 (1.5 hr, 22°C), followed by HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit.

Antibody detects endogenous levels of eIF4B only when phosphorylated at Thr420.
Target Information
The eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4B (eIF4B) plays a critical role in recruiting the 40S ribosomal subunit to the mRNA. It functions in close association with eIF4F and eIF4A. It binds near the 5'-terminal cap of mRNA in the presence of eIF4F and ATP. It promotes the ATPase activity and the ATP-dependent RNA unwinding activity of both eIF4A and eIF4F.
