Phospho-EphA8 (Tyr839) Antibody (PA5-105876) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded Phospho-EphA8 (Tyr838) in human kidney tissue sections. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer. Samples were blocked with blocking buffer (1.5 hr, 22°C), incubated with Phospho-EphA8 (Tyr838) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-105876) using a dilution of 1:200 (1.5 hr, 22°C), followed by HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit.

Antibody detects endogenous levels of EPHA8 only when phosphorylated at Tyr839.
Target Information
EPHA8 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein-tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors have been implicated in mediating developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. EPHA8 plays a role in short-range contact-mediated axonal guidance during development of the mammalian nervous system. Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats. The ephrin receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands.
