Phospho-IFNAR1 (Ser535) Antibody (PA5-105956) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded Phospho-IFNAR1 (Ser535) in human lung cancer tissue sections. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer. Samples were blocked with blocking buffer (1.5 hr, 22°C), incubated with Phospho-IFNAR1 (Ser535) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-105956) using a dilution of 1:200 (1.5 hr, 22°C), followed by HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit.

Antibody detects endogenous levels of IFNAR1 only when phosphorylated at Ser535.
Target Information
Interferons are widely used therapeutic agents because of their anti tumor and antiviral effects and because of their modulatory effects on the immune system (Biron,2001, Kirkwood, 2002). These cytokines produce their effects by binding to the Type 1 Interferon-& Receptor (IFNAR1). Down regulation of this receptor plays a key role in determining the magnitude and duration of cytokine signaling. This down regulation is thought to be influenced by phosphorylation of Serine 535 and 539 in the IFNAR1 (Kumar et al., 2003).
