Western blot analysis of CA14 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with CA14 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-109472) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

Target Information
CA14 belongs a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the versible hydration of carbon dioxide. The protein is predicted to be a type I membrane protein and shares highest sequence similarity with the other transmembrane CA isoform, CA XII; however, they have different patterns of tissue-specific expression and thus may play different physiologic roles.
