IL1F5 Antibody (PA5-114747) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of IL1F5 in A549 cells. Samples were treated with PFA, permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked in 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), and incubated with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-114747). Secondary staining was applied with mouse anti-beta tubulin (1 hr at 37°, AlexaFluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (Red), AlexaFluor 488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG (Green) and DAPI.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine was shown to specifically inhibit the activation of NF-kappaB induced by interleukin 1 family, member 6 (IL1F6). This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported.
