PPA1 Antibody (PA5-115785) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of PPA1 in mouse kidney tissue. Samples were treated with formaldehyde and treated with citrate buffer for antigen retrieval, blocked, and incubated (1.5 hours at 22°C) with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115785) at a dilution of 1:100. Secondary staining was applied with HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the inorganic pyrophosphatase (PPase) family. PPases catalyze the hydrolysis of pyrophosphate to inorganic phosphate, which is important for the phosphate metabolism of cells. Studies of a similar protein in bovine suggested a cytoplasmic localization of this enzyme.
