UBE4B Antibody (PA5-116759) in WB
Western blot analysis of UBE4B in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with UBE4B Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-116759) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases, or E3s. UBE4B represents an additional conjugation factor, E4, which is involved in multiubiquitin chain assembly. UBE4B also the strongest candidate among the neuroblastoma tumor suppressors.
