GNB3 Antibody (PA5-119819) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of of GNB3 in F9 cells (green). Formalin fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with 1% Blocker BSA for 15 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with GNB3 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-119819) at a dilution of 1:50 for 1 hour at room temperature, washed with PBS. Alexa Fluor 488 Goat anti-Rabbit IgG was used as the secondary antibody at 1:1,000 dilution. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide-binding proteins in this gene is associated with essential hypertension and obesity. This polymorphism is also associated with the occurrence of the splice variant GNB3-s, which appears to have increased activity. GNB3-s is an example of alternative splicing caused by a nucleotide change outside of the splice donor and acceptor sites. Additional splice variants may exist for this gene, but they have not been fully described.
