AGO1 Antibody (PA5-120966) in WB
Western blot analysis of AGO1 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with AGO1 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-120966) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 180s.

AGO1 is a member of the Argonaute family of proteins which play a role in RNA interference. The protein is highly basic, and contains a PAZ domain and a PIWI domain. It may interact with dicer1 and play a role in short-interfering-RNA-mediated gene silencing. AGO1 binds to miRNAs or siRNAs and represses the translation of mRNAs.
