PIM3 Antibody (PA5-13976) in IHC (P)

Immunohistochemistry analysis of PIM3 in formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue. Samples were incubated with PIM3 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-13976) which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

PIM3 serine/threonine kinase or PIM-3 oncogene belongs to a family of protooncogenes. PIM3 is expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma development and plays a main role in the proliferation of human hepatoma cell lines. PIM3 also expressed in human pancreatic cancer cells and phosphorylates BAD to block Bad-mediated apoptosis in human pancreatic cancer cell lines. PIM3 is widely expressed, with the exception of no expression observed in colon, thymus, and small intestine.
