FA2H Antibody (PA5-24728) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of FA2H in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded brain tissue. Samples were incubated with FA2H polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-24728) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

FA2H is a protein that catalyzes the synthesis of 2-hydroxysphingolipids, a subset of sphingolipids that contain 2-hydroxy fatty acids. Sphingolipids play roles in many cellular processes and their structural diversity arises from modification of the hydrophobic ceramide moiety, such as by 2-hydroxylation of the N-acyl chain, and the existence of many different head groups.
