BAHD1 Antibody (PA5-26166) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of BAHD1 in formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human testis tissue. Samples were incubated with BAHD1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-26166) which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

BAHD1 is a heterochromatin protein that acts as a transcription repressor and has the ability to promote the formation of large heterochromatic domains. It may act by recruiting heterochromatin proteins such as CBX5 (HP1 alpha), HDAC5 and MBD1. It represses IGF2 expression by binding to its CpG-rich P3 promoter and recruiting heterochromatin proteins.
