PIM1 Antibody (PA5-36392) in WB
Western blot was performed using Anti-PIM1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-36392) and a 30KDa-45 kDa band corresponding to Serine/threonine-protein kinase pim-1 was observed across cell lines. Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of K-562 (Lane 1), HEL 92.1.7 (Lane 2), THP-1 (Lane 3), Jurkat (Lane 4) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0322BOX). The proto-oncogene PIM1 is upregulated in prostate cancer. PIM1, which belongs to the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family, is thought to play a role in signal transduction in blood cells. The protooncogene PIM1 encodes a protein kinase upregulated in prostate cancer. It may affect the structure or silencing of chromatin by phosphorylating HP1 gamma/CBX3. PIM1 is expressed primarily in cells of the hematopoietic and germ line lineages.
