ADAM2 Antibody (PA5-78724) in WB
Western blot analysis of ADAM2 in rat testis extract (lane 1), mouse testis extract (lane 2) and MCF-7 whole cell lysate (lane 3). Sample was incubated with ADAM2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-78724) at a dilution of 0.5 µg/mL. Signal development was performed using a chemiluminescence (ECL) kit.

ADAM2 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. ADAM2 is a subunit of an integral sperm membrane glycoprotein called fertilin, which plays an important role in sperm-egg interactions. This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis.
