Aquaporin 8 Antibody (PA5-78817) in WB

Western blot analysis of AQP8 in, Lane 1: human PC-3 whole cell lysates. Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50 µg of sample under reducing conditions. After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Aquaporin-8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the AQP8 gene. Aquaporin 8 (AQP8) is a water channel protein. Aquaporins are a family of small integral membrane proteins related to the major intrinsic protein (MIP or AQP0). Aquaporin 8 mRNA is found in pancreas and colon but not other tissues. Forms a water-specific channel; mercury-sensitive. Not permeable to glycerol or urea. Expressed only in pancreas and colon.
