Western Blot using CER1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80469) at 1:500 dilution. Lane A: HEK293 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary antibody: Goat Anti- Rabbit IgG H&L (DyLight™ 800) at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 30 kDa. Observed band size: 28 kDa.

This gene encodes a cytokine member of the cysteine knot superfamily, characterized by nine conserved cysteines and a cysteine knot region. The cerberus-related cytokines, together with Dan and DRM/Gremlin, represent a group of bone morphogenetic protein antagonists that can bind directly to BMPs and inhibit their activity.
