Western Blot using EGR1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80575) at 1:500 dilution. Lane A: HeLa Whole Cell Lysate, Lane B: MDA-MB231 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary antibody: Goat Anti- RabbitIgG H&L (DyLight™ 800) at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 57 kDa. Observed band size: 55 kDa.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the EGR family of C2H2-type zinc-finger proteins. It is a nuclear protein and functions as a transcriptional regulator. The products of target genes it activates are required for differentitation and mitogenesis. Studies suggest this is a cancer suppresor gene.
