GLO1 Antibody (PA5-81397) in WB
Western Blot using GLO1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-81397) at 1:500 dilution. Lane A: 293T Whole Cell Lysate, Lane B: MCF7 Whole Cell Lysate, Lane C: A549 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (DyLight™ 800) at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 21 kDa. Observed band size: 23 kDa. (We are unsure of the identity of these extra bands).

The enzyme encoded by this gene is responsible for the catalysis and formation of S-lactoyl-glutathione from methylglyoxal condensation and reduced glutathione. Glyoxalase I is linked to HLA and is localized to 6p21.3-p21.1, between HLA and the centromere.
