Syndecan 2 Antibody (PA5-95938) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Syndecan 2 in paraffin-embedded human liver damage. Samples were incubated with Syndecan 2 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-95938) using a dilution of 1:100 (40x lens). Perform microwave antigen retrieval with 10 mM PBS buffer pH 7.2 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

Syndecans are heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) that are involved in cell adhesion, tissue morphogenesis, differentiation, and act as low affinity co-receptors of soluble growth factors. It is involved in the mitogenic activity and signaling of Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-stimulating factor in osteoblasts, and has been shown to have a regulatory role in matrix assembly. Syndecan-2 is expressed at epithelial-mesenchymal interfaces, and prechondrogenic and preosteogenic mesenchymal condensations, which are areas of high morphogenetic activity.
