PIGV Antibody (PA5-98884) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of PIGV in Hela cells using a PIGV polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-98884) at a dilution of 1:66. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Cells were counter-stained with DAPI.

Glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) is a complex glycolipid that anchors many proteins to the cell surface. The biosynthetic pathway of GPI is mediated by sequential addition of sugars and other components to phosphatidylinositol. PIGV adds the second mannose to the GPI core.
