Cytomegalovirus UL97 Antibody (PA5-99784) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Cytomegalovirus UL97 in mouse testis tissue. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with Cytomegalovirus UL97 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-99784) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody.

Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is an opportunistic pathogen infecting lung, kidney, gut and other organs in situations where an individual is immunologically immature, such as the foetus and neonate. Infection also occurs in immunosuppressed patients e.g. transplant patients, patients undergoing chemotherapy and those with HIV infection. Cytomegalovirus is an enveloped double stranded DNA virus which in humans (HCMV) is commonly known as human herpesvirus 5 (HHV-5).
