Can I use ReadyProbes Mouse-on-Mouse IgG Blocking Solution (30X) on rat tissues?

Due to some cross-reactivity of anti-mouse antibodies to rat antibodies, using ReadyProbes Mouse-on-Mouse IgG Blocking Solution (30X) on rat tissues may offer some level of blocking, but it may not be sufficient. For rat tissues, ideally you should use a rat-on-rat blocking.

Can I combine the standard blocking step (using serum or BSA) with the ReadyProbes Mouse-on-Mouse IgG Blocking Solution (30X) to save time?

No. These two blocking steps cannot be combined. Doing so would result in inadequate blocking for both non-specific entities and mouse antibodies.
