DNA surveillance proteins monitor DNA integrity, and they can activate cell cycle checkpoints and DNA repair pathways in response to DNA damage. This can prevent potentially deleterious mutations. The Silencer™ Select Human DNA Damage Response siRNA Library contains 1,746 Ambion™ Silencer Select highly potent and chemically-modified siRNAs targeting 582 DNA damage response genes. This library was designed using the most up-to-date genome databases, including the NCBI RefSeq database and cross-referenced to the Gene Ontology Consortium (GO) database and/or the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee (HGNC). The Silencer Select siRNAs are designed using Thermo Fisher Scientific's leading algorithms—along with our novel locked nucleic acid (LNA) chemical modifications, this helps maximize efficacy, specificity and potency. The Silencer Select Human DNA Damage Response siRNA Library is an excellent option for RNAi screening against cellular pathways that sense, signal and repair DNA lesions following DNA damage.
