Gibco Cell Therapy Systems (CTS) AIM-V SFM is a defined, serum-free medium specifically designed for the proliferation and/or manipulation of T cells, dendritic cells, and other immune cells that is manufactured in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards.

This CTS AIM-V Medium Validation enables customers to validate the new packaging of CTS AIM-V SFM (Cat. No. 0870112BK) that is being introduced later this year, to support advanced assessment of the new packaging performance and compatibility with their existing protocols and workflows.

Advanced packaging for optimal cell culture

CTS AIM-V SFM will be packaged in an Aegis 5-14 BPC, an innovative containment system designed to maintain the integrity and sterility of the product. The Aegis 5-14 film will provide expanded versatility for connection options, including sterile, weldable DEPH-free PVC tubing with Luer lock and weldable C-Flex tubing with MPC quick connectors.

Aegis 5-14 BPCs have passed biological safety testing, including conforming to USP <85>, USP<87>, USP <88>, USP <661>, and EP <3.2.2.1>. This advanced packaging solution helps ensure that the sample remains uncontaminated and ready for immediate use in research settings, supporting researchers with a reliable foundation for their experiments.

The two media have the same formulation and GMP quality and are manufactured in ISO13485, MDSAP, FDA-registered, 21 CFR820 facilities. The main difference lies in the packaging. CTS AIM V SFM VALIDATION (Cat. No. A4000311302) is packaged in the Aegis 5-14 BioProcessing Container (BPC) with a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) contact layer and updated tubing and connector options. On the other hand, the current CTS AIM V SFM (Cat. No. 0870112BK) is packaged in ASI 28 film with an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) contact layer and four spike ports.
