This buffer solution is used for eluting (dissociating) antibodies in various antibody purification procedures such as affinity purification of antibody using peptide coupled to a column. It is widely used as a buffer for a variety of immunological applications. Glycine is also used as an eluent in column chromatography. Glycine has been reported for use in the enzymatic determination of lactate using lactic dehydrogenase.

Solubility
Soluble in water (100 mg/ml), and acetone (slightly soluble). Insoluble in alcohol, and ether.

Notes
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Recommended storage temperature 2 - 8°C
