Dowex™ 50WX4 100-200 (H) is used for the conversion of D,L-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate diethyl acetal (barium salt) on treatment with boiling water to free aldehyde D,L-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate. It is also used to investigate the effect of particle size on drug loading and release profiles.
