Triton∣r X-100 lysis buffer, pH 7.4
It is widely used non-ionic surfactant for recovery of membrane components under mild non-denaturing conditions. Triton X-100 is a commonly used detergent in laboratories. Triton X-100 is widely used to lyse cells to extract protein or organelles, or to permeabilize the membranes of living cells.
