Immunohistochemistry analysis of VAMP1 on paraffin-embedded Human Duodenum tissue. Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 15 min. Samples were incubated with VAMP1 Recombinant Monoclonal (Product # MA572984) using a dilution at 1:200 overnight at 4°C. Followed by DAB staining.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the vesicle-associated membrane protein (VAMP)/synaptobrevin family. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal dominant spastic ataxia 1. Multiple alternative splice variants have been described, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined.
