Providing transparent, third-party verified environmental data with the My Green Lab® ACT® Ecolabel
When you're looking for more sustainable products, we believe it should be easy to make informed purchasing decisions. We are an early adopter and advocate of the ACT Ecolabel, the premier third-party ecolabel for laboratory products, encompassing consumables, chemicals, and equipment. Leveraging the ACT Ecolabel allows laboratories to make informed purchasing choices based on standardized and verified environmental data, enabling you to advance sustainability without sacrificing performance. The ACT Ecolabel provides environmental Accountability, Consistency, and Transparency for each labeled product.
How to use the ACT Ecolabel
The ACT Ecolabel uses a science-based, 100-point weighted score, with details on product impacts such as energy use, materials, chemical hazards, end-of-use options, and product carbon footprint – plus an evaluation of the manufacturing facility and company commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The label displays these attributes with color-coded scoring, grouped for easy visualization, making data easy to assess.
Products receive an Environmental Performance Factor based on performance across the attributes (view scoring methodology). To enable quick and easy identification of product performance - the ACT Ecolabel provides performance tiers (bronze, silver, gold, platinum and green).
