He has spent the last 12+ years in the medical diagnostics industry in commercial roles at Fortune 500 medical device companies. Dr. Kaushik currently leads the diagnostics instruments for capillary electrophoresis (Sanger sequencing and Fragment analysis) at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Dr. Annavi Villanueva holds an MD-PhD in Molecular Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines-Manila. She is a researcher who leads the Molecular and Genomics Section of the National Reference Laboratory for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and Other STIs. She is the investigator of various research projects at NRL-SACCL, including pretreatment of HIV drug resistance and genotyping among Filipinos living with HIV, as well as the development of rapid HIV diagnostic algorithms for the general population.
