Dr. Frigola achieved a degree in Biology from Pompeu Fabra University and a degree in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

He completed his specialization in Surgical Pathology in the Hospital Clínic, after which he did a fellowship in hematopathology under the supervision of Dr. Elias Campo.

He is currently a staff hematopathologist of the Hospital Clínic and is responsible for NGS lymphoid panels in the Molecular Biology Core Lab at the Hospital.

Dr. Frigola is also a member of the IDIBAPS research group ""Molecular pathology in lymphoid neoplasms"", led by Dr. Campo.

His main interests are the characterization of the molecular mechanisms of transformation in lymphomas and the identification of prognostic biomarkers.
