| Considerations for successful quantitative proteomics workflows | Dr. Bhavin Patel | Mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics has proven itself as a robust and logical alternative to immuno-based methods to identify and characterise biomarkers that could serve downstream as robust diagnostic tools, prognostic predictors, or therapeutic targets. Proteomic analysis provides valuable data about uniquely expressed proteins, differences in protein abundance, and post-translational modifications (PTMs). In this webinar, we will discuss end-to-end MS-based proteomics workflows including rigorously validated reagents/kits/methods for various applications. These integrated workflows utilise analytically validated MS sample preparation methods, isobaric labelling using TMT/Thermo Scientific™ TMTpro™ reagents for sample multiplexing, or custom heavy peptides for targeted protein quantitation. Other workflows and applications using micro-MS sample prep, PTM enrichment and quantitation, host cell protein quantitation will also be covered to highlight the tools and methods required to successfully measure and characterise protein biomarkers. | 45 min |
