How much of the instrument can I clean?

You may clean the source housing, sweep cone, ion transfer tube, and the RF lens behind the ITT.

What symptoms indicate that I need to clean my instrument?

If you notice poor sensitivity or the presence of large background ions, your instrument is in need of cleaning.
