When I added the activator crystals, some spilled from the bottle. Will my GelCode Blue Safe Protein Stain work?

Yes, you can add up to 20% less crystals and still obtain acceptable staining.

Why are bands not visible on my gel after destaining when using the GelCode Blue Safe Protein Stain?

It is possible the GelCode Blue Safe Stain was not activated. When the activator crystals are added, the pH of the stain should be approximately 2. If the stain was not activated, add the crystals and restain the gel; however, if the stain was activated, try increasing the staining time.

What is the sensitivity of the GelCode Blue Safe Protein Stain?

The lower level of detection is 9 ng of protein per band.
