Backing up data can help protect you from data loss and/or for sending data to Technical Support for troubleshooting. To export Projects, Project Templates, Reference Data Groups, Libraries, Analysis Defaults, Analysis Protocols, and Display Settings:
1. Go to the Tools menu and select SeqScape Manager.
2. Click on the tab that contains the file(s) you want to back up or export.
3. Select the file(s) that you want to export. Hold down the Shift key while selecting files to select a group of files, or the Control key to select multiple individual files. Once they are selected, click on Export at the bottom of the window.
4. Browse to the location where you want to save the files, and click Export to save them (Note: When selecting multiple files, the File name will appear as the pathway to the location where you are going to save the files.)
If you are performing a data backup, you will want to repeat steps 2-4 for each tab to make sure that all of your work is backed up. Once you have backed them up, save the files to the storage media of your choice (CD, DVD, network drive, flash drive).

Right-click on Computer and select Properties. In the System section, look at the System Type and see if you have Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit or 64-bit edition. Write this down, as you will need this information during the install process.
To install the necessary driver:
1. Open a browser and go to https://www.ilok.com/#!home.
2. On the right-hand side of the page, you should see the Free Download License Support links. If your computer has Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit edition operating system, select the middle option (Windows 32-bit XP, Vista, 7, 8). If your computer has Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit edition operating system, choose the third option (Windows 64-bit XP, Vista, 7, 8).
Note: If your browser gives you the choice to Run or Save, save the file. For the Internet Explorer browser, you can choose the location to save the file. For Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers, the default location to save the file is the Downloads folder.
3. Open the LicenseSupportInstallerWin zip file and go to the Old Installers Folder.
4. Run the InterLok Driver Setup Win (64 or 32).exe file.
You should now be able to install the SeqScapeSoftware v3 Demo.

If you received the error message about insufficient user privileges to start low level driver, you are most likely not logged in locally as the Administrator. Reboot the computer, change the domain to the local computer, and log in as the Administrator.

If you are upgrading or reinstalling software, you may want to import your data. To do so:
1. Go to the Tools menu and select SeqScape Manager.
2. Click on the tab where you want to import the data (e.g., if you want to import a project, click on the Projects tab).
3. Click on the Import button and select the files you wish to import. Then click Import.
After clicking on Import, a progress bar will appear on the screen. If the file is imported successfully, it will appear in the list for that tab. If the file is not, an error message will appear explaining why the file was not imported. In the example below, the Project name already existed in the database.
Correct the error by changing the Project name or removing the conflicting Project, and reimport the file.

This software has been extensively tested on Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit version). While there are some indications that software will run normally on the 64-bit version of Windows 7 SP1 operating system, the 64-bit configuration is not officially supported. It is strongly recommended that this software is run on Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit).
