Western blot analysis was performed on Membrane enriched extracts (30µg lysate) of IMR-32 (Lane 1), SH-SY5Y (Lane 2), SK-N-AS (Lane 3), PC12 (Lane 4) and tissue extracts of Mouse Brain (Lane 5) and Rat Brain (Lane6). Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.
Target Information
DENND5A (DENN domain-containing protein 5A) is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) which activates RAB6A and RAB39A/RAB39B. It promotes the exchange of GDP to GTP by converting inactive GDP-bound Rab proteins to their active GTP form. DENND5A is also involved in the negative regulation of neurtie outgrowth. Mutations affecting this gene can result in epileptic encephalopathy, early infantile, 49 (EIEE49).
