Pierce IP 裂解缓冲液由 25 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4、150 mM NaCl、1 mM EDTA、1% NP-40 和 5% 甘油组成。该缓冲液不含蛋白酶或磷酸酶抑制剂;但是如果需要,可在使用前添加各种抑制剂,如 Thermo Scientific Halt 蛋白酶抑制剂混合物或磷酸酶抑制剂混合物,以防止蛋白水解并保持蛋白磷酸化。

What are the standard lysis buffers used with mammalian cells for detection of protein expression by immunoprecipitation (IP) or Western blot analysis?

The most commonly used buffer is RIPA Buffer with SDS. We offer RIPA Buffer (Cat. Nos. 89900 and 89901). We also offer the Pierce IP Lysis buffer (Cat. Nos. 87787 and 87788) as well as M-PER (Cat. Nos. 78501, 78503, and 78505).

Pierce IP Lysis Buffer ships at ambient temperature and can be stored at room temperature. However, we recommend 4 degrees C for long term storage in order to prevent possible bacterial growth.

Which protein assays are compatible with the Thermo Scientific IP Lysis Buffer?

The Thermo Scientific IP Lysis Buffer is compatible with Thermo Scientific BCA Protein Assay (Cat. No. 23225) and Thermo Scientific 660 nm Protein Assay (Cat. No. 22660). It is not compatible with Thermo Scientific Coomassie Plus (Bradford) Assay (Cat. No. 23236) unless diluted 1:1 in TBS, PBS, or water.
