The green fluorescent fatty acid, BODIPY™ FL C12 can be used as a synthetic precursor to a wide variety of fluorescent phospholipids. Unlike fluorophores like pyrene, DPH and NBD, BODIPY™ dyes are relatively environment insensitive and is fluorescent in both aqueous and lipid environments.

Dissolve in high-quality anhydrous DMSO for stock concentrations of 1 to 10 mM.
