We would highly recommend using the provided Elution Buffer in the elution step for best results. You may use nuclease-free water; however, it may affect the yield of the nucleic acids during purification and their stability during storage.
We cannot recommend GeneJET kits for RNA purification from FFPE tissues. In case of genomic DNA purififcation from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples, we recommend GeneJET FFPE DNA Purification Kit.
The GeneJET spin columns are compatible with vacuum manifolds of standard size (e.g. Qiagen, Sigma-Aldrich, Promega). However, not all GeneJET kits are supported with a vacuum protocol. Please refer to the particular kit protocol for the detailed procedure.
We recommend performing centrifugation steps at room temperature when the temperature is not specified.
No, we do not offer GeneJET columns or MagJET magnetic beads separately at this time.
This kit is not suitable for purification of small RNAs.
These kits will remove the majority of genomic DNA, however trace amounts may still remain. Therefore, for applications that are very sensitive to genomic DNA, we recommend you treat the purified RNA sample with DNase I (Cat. No. EN0521), RapidOut DNA Removal Kit (Cat. No. K2981), or dsDNase (Cat. No. EN0771).
