Experience Thermo Fisher Scientific’s innovation at the Songdo Bioprocess Design Center (BDC), where we support comprehensive bioprocess development covering every stage from upstream to downstream biomanufacturing. From early-stage process development—including media and resin screening—to scale-up and pilot-scale manufacturing, we offer an integrated workflow that connects many stages of biopharmaceutical development. Empowered by Thermo Fisher’s global network and innovation, specialists at the Bioprocess Design Center can collaborate with you to accelerate bioprocess development.
About the Korea BDC
Our Bioprocess Design Center in Korea features cell culture and microbial fermentation labs, media and buffer preparation areas, and purification and analytics suites—enabling a fully integrated biopharmaceutical development environment. Equipped with numerous instruments, our demo lab offers practical training and technical support from local bioprocess specialists.
The Korea Bioprocess Design Center is located on the 6th floor of the Songdo BT Center in Incheon.

Equipped with a wide range of systems for biopharmaceutical, vaccine, and cell therapy production, our Cell Culture Lab includes small-scale to 250 L single-use bioreactors and fully integrated DeltaV-based automation. Large-scale adherent cell culture systems (ACFM) are also on display, allowing visitors to experience tools for cell and gene therapy manufacturing.

Our Media Development Lab supports evaluation of media for cell and microbial culture using shake-flask systems. Visitors can receive basic training in media preparation and cell culture techniques.

Experience the microbial culture process using bench-top fermentors, 30 L single-use fermentors, and centrifuge systems used in vaccine and gene therapy production. We also offer hands-on learning of GMP and non-GMP microbial fermentation workflows using single-use systems.

Explore small-scale purification using chromatography resins and learn about impurity analysis and biosafety testing needed for biopharmaceutical QC testing.
